The Circulating Sleeve provides a way to establish or shut off communication between the tubing and the casing. Any number of sleeves may be run in a tubing string and any or all of them may be opened or closed with a Self-Releasing Positioning Tool (Model MB Shifting Tool).
The MAP Models MXO and MXD Circulating Sleeve is a down hole device, normally screwed into the production tubing. The sleeve is designed so that normal wireline activities will not open or close the sleeve inadvertently. Downward jarring opens the sleeve and upward jarring opens it. The only difference between the MXO and MXD Sleeve is that the MXD Sleeve has twice the flow area between the tubing and the casing.
The MAP Model MXA Circulating Sleeve is a downhole flow control device, similar to MXO and MXD Sleeve. The only difference is that an upward jarring opens the sleeve and downward jarring closes it.
The WL Circulating Sleeve provides a way to establish or shut off communication between the tubing and the annulus. Any number of Circulating Sleeve may be run in a tubing string and any or all of them may be opened with a self releasing MD-2 Shifting Tool.
The MXO, MXD, and MXA Circulating Sleeve maybe used in the following applications:
